Service Description

Why Summer Camp in the Metolius? Last year I had the opportunity to do a Craniosacral session on a friend while we were camping in the Metolius. I set her up on a pile of blankets on a picnic table with a giant ponderosa pine at my back. It was a magical experience in so many ways. I thought to myself ‘I wish to share this with my students.’ I also gave her partner a mini CS lesson so he could continue to help with my friend with her vertigo. (my friend has since informed me that her vertigo was went away with that session. She had been plagued with vertigo for several years. Pretty cool!) When: August 9-11, 2026 (Sunday through Tuesday) Starts at dinner on Sunday, goes all day Monday and check out Tuesday by noon. Where: The Metolius is located west of Sisters, OR. Near Camp Sherman area. It is located in a glorious Ponderosa Pine forest with the crystal-clear Metolius River running through it. The river literally bubbles up from the ground. There are trails that run for miles on either side of the river. Info: This is a camping event. You can sleep under the stars, in your tent, in your camper (there is only space for 1 camper – reserve ahead). You are responsible to bring your own camping equipment. and some food. (I might be able to supply an extra tent or sleeping bag if reserved ahead of time) I have reserved 2 campsites side by side in the Pioneer Ford campground. One is a group site and the other is a regular campsite. Check in: Sunday at 2:00 pm Check out: Tuesday at 12:00 pm Tuition: Since this event will be held on Forest Service lands, there will be no set tuition. I ask that you share in expenses (camping fee, food). You will be asked to share food (potluck style). $100 deposit to reserve your spot If you are so moved you can make a donation to Still Mountain Healer. Details about what to bring (camping equipment and food items) will be sent soon after you register.) Note: August can sometimes be disturbed by wildfires. We will monitor the air quality and local fire situation as we get closer to the camp time.
