Service Description

For Craniosacral Practitioners: An Integrated Approach to the Temporomandibular Joint It is estimated that 10 million Americans are affected by jaw problems and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). Imbalances in the muscles, bones and ligaments can have widespread influence throughout the body and nervous system. This course presents an in-depth approach to deal with TMJ dysfunction and pain. TMD is a complex challenge, but one that can be addressed effectively with the techniques learned and practiced in this course. In this course you will: Learn detailed anatomy of the mandible and related structures Understand possible causes and symptoms of jaw problems and TMD Practice contacts and techniques for the jaw, hard palate, facial bones, and musculature to help bring the TMJ system back into balance and proper function. Learn and practice self-help techniques that will benefit you and your clients. Broaden your tool box with techniques from Craniosacral Work, Feldenkrais and Neuromuscular Reeducation. Deepen your perceptual, grounding, listening and communication skills. Prerequisites: This class is for those who have CS training and experience. A minimum of 24 hours of CS training is required. If you are unsure if you meet this requirement, please call or email for individual approval. Tuition: Early Bird Price = $625 before January 22, 2026. $675 after January 22, 2026 $350 deposit required with registration. Balance due February 6, 2026 (4 weeks before class starts).

Cancellation Policy

A $350 deposit is due upon registration, with balance due upon invoice, 28 days prior to the first day of class. (If class fee is under $350, balance is due at registration.) If you do not make a deposit, your registration cannot be confirmed. Registrations cancelled with 28 or more days’ notice will be refunded less a $25 administration fee. Within 28 days before class, there will be no refunds for any reason including medical and family emergency. If the participant cancels after the workshop is in progress or misses hours during the workshop, no refund will be given. CE Hours will only be awarded if you complete the class. We reserve the right to cancel classes not meeting minimum participant requirements by 28 days before the class. If the class is cancelled for any reason by SMH, all class fees paid will be refunded or may be credited toward a future workshop. We strongly advise confirming with the organizer that the class has a minimum number of students registered before making nonrefundable travel reservations.   Please do not purchase a non-refundable travel ticket or make a non-refundable hotel/Air BnB reservations of any kind until you have been notified that the class is a “Go,” which will occur no later than 28 days before the scheduled start of the class. Please purchase travel insurance, which may help you secure emergency help in the case of weather-related flight cancellation(s).
