SMH Introduction to Craniosacral Therapy and Sensitive Touch September 12 from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Bend, OR Instructor: Regina Callahan 8 CE LIVE Hours (NCBTMB Approved) Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on bodywork technique that uses light touch to release restrictions in the Craniosacral system, which includes the bones, membranes and fluids of the skull, spine, and sacrum. It is used to improve the function of the nervous system, alleviate pain and stress, and help restore the body's balance by addressing restrictions in the head, neck, and back. It helps to harmonize the body's "craniosacral rhythm," a wave that is as tangible as your breath or heart rate, to optimize the function of the central nervous system. CST taps into the body's inherent intelligence to encourage a state of balance and promote healing, addressing both structural and energetic aspects of the body. Course Highlights o This class teaches the benefits of Craniosacral Therapy along with basic techniques to use in practice and for personal health. o Explore the anatomy and physiology of the craniosacral system and its relationship to illness, pain and dysfunction. o Develop and refine light-touch palpation skills. o Learn and practice tissue release techniques for the sacrum, respiratory diaphragms and occiput and dural tube. o This class is intended for students in a healthcare profession, or healthcare professionals who are interested in exploring Craniosacral Therapy. The class content is included in the 4 day SMH Level 1: Groundwork workshop. Tuition: $225 due upon registration Registration/Refund Policy: To hold your space in this class, payment in full $225 is due with registration form. If you cancel 14 days or more prior to the class, tuition will be refunded (minus a $15 administration fee). Because of classroom rental and other organizational logistics, if you cancel with less than 14 days notice, the class fee becomes non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel classes not meeting minimum participant requirements by 14 days before the class. If the class is cancelled for any reason by SMH, all class fees paid will be refunded.
