Bringing together over 60 decades of education, hands-on experience, teaching, Regina Callahan of Still Mountain Healer School of Craniosacral Studies and Elizabeth McClain of Boulder Bodyworks will be hosting this 3 day workshop in Boulder, Colorado. This class explores the significance of the thorax, rib cage and neck in contributing to restricted movement and breath which can lead to poor posture, chronic pain and decreased vitality. We will explore the complex anatomical and physiological systems of the thorax, which are often a source of restriction in chronic and acute pain of the neck, “shoulders”, and upper back. And, yet in practice we often get drawn to the “obvious loud talkers” such as the neck, low back, and headaches. Students will learn muscle-skeletal techniques and techniques to help affect the physiological processes of breathing, heart rate, digestion, sleep, etc. which can contribute to a client’s pain. We will also explore the emotional aspects of restrictions in the thorax. These restrictions can often occur with motor vehicle accidents, impact injuries, surgeries, and postural and repetitive stress. We will teach integrating techniques from orthopedic bodywork, craniosacral therapy, osteopathic techniques, and visceral manipulation. Prerequisite: LMT/Manual Therapist, PT, OT, DC Early Bird price of $800 until July 26, 2024 at midnight PST. $900 after.

Cancellation Policy

A $300 deposit is due upon registration, with balance due upon invoice, 28 days prior to the first day of class. (If class fee is under $300, balance is due at registration.) If you do not make a deposit, your registration cannot be confirmed. Registrations cancelled with 28 or more days’ notice will be refunded less a $25 administration fee. Within 28 days before class, there will be no refunds for any reason including medical and family emergency. If the participant cancels after the workshop is in progress or misses hours during the workshop, no refund will be given. CE Hours will only be awarded if you complete the class. We reserve the right to cancel classes not meeting minimum participant requirements by 28 days before the class. If the class is cancelled for any reason by SMH, all class fees paid will be refunded or may be credited toward a future workshop. We strongly advise confirming with the organizer that the class has a minimum number of students registered before making nonrefundable travel reservations.   Please do not purchase a non-refundable travel ticket or make a non-refundable hotel/Air BnB reservations of any kind until you have been notified that the class is a “Go,” which will occur no later than 28 days before the scheduled start of the class. Please purchase travel insurance, which may help you secure emergency help in the case of weather-related flight cancellation(s).
